SeaWorld

Many people searching for information on SeaWorld are looking for travel tips on how to get the most out of the parks for the least amount of effort.  SeaWorld is a prime family vacation destination for families with small children who are typically captivated by the animal shows.

SeaWorld Adventure Parks are known throughout the world for their marine life and animal conservation and rehabilitation efforts.  Whenever an injured marine animal is rescued, the first call is to the nearest SeaWorld for rehabilitation.  Each of the live animal shows the parks put on is an effort to draw the animals closer to the viewers’ hearts and educate the audience in hopes of encouraging conservation actions on their behalf. 

Perhaps the inspiration for SeaWorld was Marineland, which opened in 1954, with its killer whale, dolphin and sea lion shows.  The original SeaWorld first opened in 1964 in San Diego.  Orlando followed in 1973, and finally San Antonio opened in 1988.  In 1989, the group of parks was purchased by Anheuser Busch and converted to SeaWorld Adventure Parks, which feature the thrill rides, water parks, resorts we know and love today.
