Tech Cocktail 2 DC was a success and the hungover masses got together for breakfast, courtesy of Lijit and Micah Baldwin at Busboys and Poets in NW Washington, DC. Appearing in the first of this two part video are Rana Sobhany, Keith Casey, Eric Olson, Jared Goralnick, Jill Foster, and Andrew Lee.

Remember why students should blog? Well I’m happy to announce that the third internship worked out and I start on Wednesday. Exact details won’t be posted because of confidentiality issues, but suffice to say it’s social media related.

Chicago’s NBC5 Street Team attended the breakfast I hosted this week at Duffy’s Tavern in Chicago. I enjoyed meeting both Blagica Bottigliero and LeeAnn Trotter and catching up with both of them. LeeAnn interviewed a number of the people who attended the breakfast and her segment covering the breakfast will be airing in the near future.

The attendee list on the Facebook Event page for Social Media Breakfast: Singapore 2 has been at 40 people for a couple of days now, about 60% were present at the first one. This is good in the sense that we’ll be familiar with each other and really move the conversation forward and talk about the crazy issues that plague all of us who’re trying to figure out the space.

Some 90 social media experts, enthusiasts, and newbies packed the Ryles Jazz Club in Inman Square, Cambridge last Thursday morning for Boston’s Social Media Breakfast 7. The event featured four short presentations on the topic of “hiring and getting hired in the Web 2.0 world,” as well as Christopher S.

Daryl, Sheylara and I are pleased to announce the second Social Media Breakfast in Singapore. Except this time, it’s more of a brunch. It’s on May 24, at 11am, at Cafe Domus. Cost is $10 each (unless anyone wants to sponsor). Hope to see you there. Also, we’re considering whether to have a more structured event, perhaps with presenters.
