A Small Finish!
http://nevillen.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ small-finish.htmlI decided I needed a little break from stitching the house on "Home of a Needleworker (too)." I made it to the roof with all that brown stitching ahead of me and decided I needed to stitch something with a little color to break the monotony. I got out "Plant Love" by Lizzie Kate (from the latest Gift of Stitching), which I had kitted recently.

only the earth lives forever
http://judys-journal.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ only-earth-lives-forever.htmlI've decided on this image for the Red Thread poster that's being printed by SEC graphics. A higher resolution than my little camera is capable of was needed and so Sarah Warburton took the photo. Hand painted border fabric. Favourite shirt mounted on paper and then stitched. What is it? It's not a quilt.

SBQ: Stitching Terms/Acronyms
http://technomom.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ sbq-stitching-termsacronyms/This week’s Stitching Bloggers Question of the Week: For seasoned stitchers: Define a stitching term or acronym for new stitchers. Gah. I don’t play in the needlework newsgroup any more, so I don’t think in acronyms. Railroading is the only term that I can think of that wasn’t obvious or explained in a pattern’s instructions.

I have stitched the basket and several other of the accessories already. This one turned out nicely. There is a pocket on the back that holds the thread pallet.

http://jayderose.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ stitching-rotation-updates-and-more.htm…Camera has reappeared! So are you prepared for the pictures? The flowers I got for Mother's Day were starting to look bad (the real ones anyway), so I don't have a picture of those. Instead you can all the petals I've harvested from them. I'm going to dry them out and use them for air freshener, incense, etc.

Stitches to Learn
http://thestitchingthread.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ stitches-to-learn/I have spent the better part of the week cross stitching my basket with hydrangeas. It is the largest design I have worked in a while with many color changes. For a small break today, I visited In a Minute Ago and was delighted to find a link to CQMagOnline’s current issue.

50 & 28
http://www.bellastitch.com/ blog/ ?p=201Ayame is 50 weeks old. And she is into EVERYTHING. She grabs and grabs and grabs. Good thing she doesn’t put things in her mouth. But she will grab anything that’s within reach. She will also try to climb her way over everything. For example, I am typing with one hand because I have to stop
