China's Web 2.0 community website Tianya.cn has launched a lottery sales platform, on which users can buy lottery tickets and withdraw lottery prizes via the Internet. The lottery platform of Tianya.cn not only offers winning information on lotteries, but also provides online purchase services.

Tianya.cn and Babytree.com announced that the two websites has established a strategic partnership and will jointly set up a butted platform. The platform will be docked under Tianya.cn's OpenID system.

The Tianya BBS, as I have mentioned earlier, is one of the leading BBSes in China. It has now launched a special BBS connecting victims in the earthquake affected areas, with those individuals and companies wanting to voluntarily provide goods and services to help them. There has been a strong outpouring of support in China for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake, and I thought it would help just to give those outside China and/or do not read Chinese a picture of what is going on in the online world in China.

This post also comes from Tianya, and is dated the evening of May 15th. I haven’t closed my eyes for two days. I’m a student from Wuxi’s Professional Health Institute (Wuxi is located in Jiangsu province, in eastern China). After we learned of the earthquake in Sichuan, 8 of us voluntarily organized ourselves into a group, and had one of our parents drive us to Sichuan.
