Tiger Woods
Record breaking professional golfer Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods was born on December 30, 1975 in Cypress, California. As the top rated player on the PGA Tour, Tiger Woods is indisputably one of the most successful golfers to ever play the game.
A child prodigy, Tiger Woods started playing golf when he was just 2 years old. At 21 years of age, he became the youngest #1 ranked player ever on the PGA Tour. He has won 14 Major Championships, including a Grand Slam title (winning all four major golf tournaments in the same calender year) in 2000.
His domination on the fairways combined with his numerous lucrative endorsement deals make Tiger Woods one of the wealthiest athletes of all-time alongside Michael Jordan and Michael Schumacher.
Woods married Swedish model Elin Nordegren on October 5, 2004 at the Sandy Lane resort on the Caribbean island of Barbados. The couple have 2 children together.
With a list of career achievements and accolades too lengthily to list, Tiger Woods is simply one of the greatest athletes ever.
