Tour de France
Arguably the most prestigious and taxing cycling race in the world, the annual trek through the scenic countryside of France lasts three weeks. Therefore, it's a difficult spectator sport if one doesn't have the means or time to travel to France and watch guys pedal over 2,000 miles. That's where the blogosphere plays a huge role in connecting the Tour de France to its worldwide fanbase.
For the most hardcore fans, there are live trackers so they can stay abreast of their countrymen's status in the standings. The casual sports fan might peruse news of the winner's positive drug test results (which happens all too often, except to Lance Armstrong). And then even if you don't like sports all that much, you can still gloss the blogosphere for videos the most insane pile-ups and bikers crashing into dogs. You know, the usual stuff.
