Toyota

Founded in 1937, Toyota is a multinational car manufacturer headquartered in Japan. It was ranked in 2009 as the world’s largest automaker with over 300,000 employees world wide. Toyota also owns and operates the Lexus and Scion brands and is a majority shareholder in Daihatsu and HINO trucks, and a minority shareholder in Fuji Heavy Industries, Isuzu Motors and Yamaha Motors.

In 2002, Toyota entered the Formula One circuit and began a joint venture with French companies Citroen and Peugeot. Toyota ranked 8th on the Forbes 2000 list for 2005 with number one ranking for number of cars sold worldwide in 2008’s first quarter.

Toyota Blogs are very popular, according to Best of Blogs there were over 11,000 blogs related to Toyota in the spring of 2009. Popular blogs include those dedicated to a particular model, the Formula One Toyota Team and the concept cars of the future for Toyota.
