Tyra Banks

American model and television personality, Tyra Lynne Banks was born on December 4, 1973 in Inglewood, California. One of the most recognizable models in the world, Tyra Banks is the host of her own talk show and the creator and host of the popular UPN/CW reality television show America's Top Model.

Tyra Banks started modeling as a junior in high school and was quickly whisked off to Paris to strut her stuff on the catwalk for world-renown designers like: Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger and Yves Saint Laurent.

A trailblazer in the industry, Tyra Banks is the first African American woman to ever grace the covers of Sports Illustrated, GQ and Victoria's Secret, and in 1997 she received the prestigious "Supermodel of the Year" award by VH1.

Tyra Banks made her feature film debut in John Singleton's 1995 action/drama Higher Learning, and has since appeared in such notable flicks as Love & Basketball, Coyote Ugly, Halloween: Ressurection and Life-Size, co-starring alongside Lindsay Lohan.

An accomplished model, actress, television personality and businesswoman...Tyra is a woman of many talents. Fierce!
