Toyota has given its new Urban Cruiser small SUV its European debut at the Geneva motor show, the latest addition to its distinguished 4x4 vehicle heritage.

If you want to see the new 2009 Toyota Urban Cruiser in person you can either hop on a plane next month and head to the Geneva Motor Show -- or you can just take a look at these spy photos of the new 'yota driving about sans camouflage on the snowy Swedish roads.

The new cars announced by Toyota should be a truly important addition to the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. On display will be the IQ urban car and the brand new model, the Urban Cruiser. The IQ was first seen in concept form in Frankfurt in September 2007 and time-wise in terms of development it has beaten the Volskwagen UP!, which was displayed only a few stands away at the same show.

Toyota is going to show a couple of production-ready small (as in really small) cars at Geneva. The Urban Cruiser (top) is pretty much what it sounds like: a really small SUV, as in smaller than the RAV4, but playing it's family SUV heritage by using the "Cruiser" name.

New Toyota iQ & Urban Cruiser Toyota is very active in the small segment and things are going to stay that way. The company just announced that the new Toyota iQ is going to be revealed during Geneva Motor Show next month. It’s about 3 meters long, big enough for three adults and some luggage and very safe (they say).

At next month's Geneva Motor Show, Toyota will unveil the newest addition to its European crossover line-up, the Urban Cruiser. The compact crossover, which was presented last year in the Japanese market as the Toyota Ist, is nothing more than a Scion xD with a few styling changes and a slightly higher ground clearance.
