Kairi Panha
http://chefatwork.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ kairi-panha.htmlThis is a summer drink that I have come to love. I must admit that when Amma first made this, I thought she was crazy to go to class(canning and preservation class) and learn how to make weird drinks. I must have been all of 6 at the time. Like beer, I’d call this an acquired taste.

Mango Muffins (Rasayan inspired)
http://chefatwork.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ mango-muffins-rasayan-inspired.htmlIndian sweets and I share a very vague relationship. You can’t even call it love-hate. There are a few sweets that I absolutely love (kaju kathli, gulab jamun, rasmalai, badam kheer, sheera, kulfi) and there are those that I really wouldn’t care to look at (rice kheer/pal payasam, falooda, jangiri, rajbhog...).

Mushroom Pancake
http://chefatwork.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ mushroom-pancake.htmlEver since I started blogging last year, there are a few events that I have tried not to miss. Some new ones have been added and I've tried to keep pace. There are times when I am completely unable to blog. But those months would have entries to 4-5 events, if not anything else.

Featured in The Chronicle Herald
http://sharonhodgson.com/ art/ ?p=422I was featured in The Chronicle Herald today. I got a big page on the front of section B (The Metro), and a prominent link on the front of the Chronicle Herald site pointing to this spiffy article. Can you believe that? They even sent photographer Eric Wynne over to take a photo of me holding my monitor (left).

http://sreelus.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 03/ sprouted-moong-dal-chaatsabjiwrap.htmlSprouted Moong Dal Wrap/Chaat/Sabji I was prompted to make this dish with the abundant availability of sprouted beans in desi/Chinese stores. A Long Lazy Sunday
http://homemades.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 03/ long-lazy-sunday.htmlOnce opening my eyes, my brain usually tells me to get up and make porridge. But... no, wait! It's Sunday and it's no need to get busy preparing early breakfast and schooling the children. And, that's an excuse to stay in bed longer, you see. Not for long, I can tell you.
