Once again the animals need our help, please read the following article taken from the WSPA website and do whatever you can to help. I know that right now there are a lot of people who are suffering because of the recent Cyclone, but aid is now at hand and the animals need our help too! Any way please read on.

This disgusts me, I cannot believe they still do this shit, it is wrong and I for one think we need to make more people aware of what’s going on so we can put a stop to it. Can you believe this shit? They say they are going to be increasing their quota by 50 whales a year.

The WSPA Logo is well recognised among many today, but how often do we consider what it actually is. After a rather vague answer from the Australia branch, which had said it can represent claw marks or animal markings, I made a phone call to the New Zealand branch.

Since I could not secure an interview with one of the employees at WSPA, i decided to make a visit and see whether they had any collateral that I may use in my research. The office is located in st Leonards, just near the railway. Once again the, not much luck. I was only given a newsletter and last years report.

Just a reminder of how difficult it may be to conduct an interview with someone from a non-profit organisation was again highlighted. First i made a phone call to WSPA’s Australia office, the receptionist was quite friendly and said that their staff responsible for this sort of inquiry was not at

The new chosen organisation for the project is WSPA (World  Society for the Protection of Animals). WSPA is a nonprofit organisation that seeks to create a world where animal cruelty ends. It is the world’s leading international alliance of animal welfare organisations with some 880 member societies in 147 countries and representing 70% of the worlds nations.

It is necessary for any interviews to be conducted with organisations to get in contact early and arrange for date and time. This will be of benefit especially if something does not go according to plan. Contacting these organisations, would require the need to take in consideration that they are usually busy and will be providing us with assistance,not the other way around.

Animal rights is something that I feel very strongly about, and in fact, if I have to choose between the various charities that are out there, I would choose one like WSPA, because I believe alot in what they are doing. As part of my blog, I will be bringing an Animal Rights Issue of the Week(ARIW),at least once a week or more, so that more people can be made aware.
