    Water Wheel - Hagley Museum

    http://sometimesphotoblog.com/ 2008/ 08/ 02/ water-wheel-hagley-museum/

If you ever wondered where Du Pont started it was here. The Hagley Museum in Delaware is where the Du Ponts built their first gunpowder mills and where this reconstructed water wheel is located. Interesting place but not as interesting as some of the other nearby Du Pont estates.

    http://georgiafarmwoman.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ farm-friday_20.html

Good Morning, Friday is here already and you know what that means. Farm Friday pictures! Billy has been hard at work down at the water wheel site putting rocks along the banks of the creek. BoDog always willing to help or at least take a swim. I took a little time to smell the flowers, well look at them anyways.

    Farm Friday

    http://georgiafarmwoman.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ farm-friday.html

I know you were thinking I had forgotten farm friday, but I have just been so busy. To make up for it I am starting with a new picture of the water wheel. We have done some more work around it and it is starting to look better. Of course we have a lot more to do. Billy did some more work on the saw mill.

Good Morning, Friday sure rolled around fast again this week, hasn't it? Here are a few pictures from around the farm this week. This road leads down the hill to the pond from the middle pasture. I don't walk it often because of all the rattlesnakes that like that road also.(sorry, no snake picture today) The cows down the road in the bottom pasture.

Good Afternoon, I want to show you how we spent part of last weekend. First in the garden. Billy is mowing and hoeing. That is what our oldest son called it when he was knee high to a knat. Now I did the hoeing between the plants until the hoe broke. (I didn't do it on purpose).

Getting water to the Water Wheel

    http://georgiafarmwoman.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ getting-water-to-water-wheel.htm…

Good Evening, After getting the wheel to spinning, Billy built the chute to carry the water to the wheel. First he put the posts in and made sure he had enough drop for the water to flow down hill. Then he made the chute. Almost to the end. Here the pipe will fit in.
