Web 3.0
A major shift is taking place on the world wide web. We're moving from an application-driven web 2.0 world to a semantic or web 3.0 one. While this shift is going to take a substantial amount of time, it is already taking place.
The key to understanding web 3.0 is to look at browsing and buying habits. Everyone has limited time and wants information quickly presented in a logical and organized fashion so they can make the best buying decision. We also want to be able to access this information from anywhere in the world on a variety of different devices. For example, the percentage of Americans accessing information online using mobile phones and other hand-held devices is higher the percentage of Americans with access to high-speed internet from a home computer.
Web 3.0 provides people more intelligent information at lighting speed paces allowing them to make the best decisions. It also allows us to communicate in a variety of different capacities from virtual reality worlds to live streaming video and audio.
