I have started a new section of this blog, revealing my funny, sarcastic side in regards to real life situations, as I live out a sitcom in my head. Please be advised that this section contains strong language and adult situations. It is, for now, titled “On a Lighter Note”, since, contrary to popular opinion, I do have a bright side to match my dark.

Dateline Thursday, May 8, 2008 Amy Winehouse was released from police custody in London after yet another drug arrest. It was the second time in a week she had been arrested on drug charges, and then, inexplicably to this observer, released again nearly immediately after being incarcerated.

Interesting article in today’s New York Times by Eric Asimov entitled What Motivates the Wine Shopper?. As many of you know, and as I’ve said before, I like wine. Although I have been told that I am, in general, annoyingly pretentious in most aspects of my life, I have to say that I fight against this when it comes to wine.
