Robin Peel has released the latest official Airport and Nav Aid data for X-Plane. New data is available for X-Plane. This is data cycle 2008.08 and includes many new global airport details. Different versions of the data files are available for X-Plane 8.10 - 8.60 and for X-Plane 8.61 and later

Arthur, still sick as a dog, decided to try to fly into the storm with his flight sim. He’s got quite the little set up, including pedals, yoke and Track IR so that when he moves his head it’s as if he does it in the plane as well. X-Plane renders real time weather, so pictured is just north of Marathon Key, winds were 23 kts and you can see it was raining.

RealScenery have released their State of Florida scenery package for X-Plane. The new Florida scenery is available as two separate scenery packages for X-Plane 8 & 9, North Florida and South Florida. This is a scenery extension to X-Plane and allows you to fly over the actual terrain for a realistic flying experience.

EFISApp is a new program by Laminar Research that hooks to a copy of X-Plane to simulate the current Cirrus and Eclipse PFD and MFD with a high degree of accuracy. This lets you build a pretty accurate Cirrus or Eclipse Avidyne cockpit driven by X-Plane.
