The Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington and the Bronx Zoo in NYC are doing terrific work to save the Panamanian golden frog and Kihansi spray toad, respectively. Story here.

Volunteers rediscover cricket frogs in midwestern U.S.

I learned in the story that the volunteer frog watchers in Illinois helped find a species that was believed to have disappeared from the Midwest.

She jumped off a bridge to save frogs (kids don’t try this at home)

Polly is the senior education officer at the Edinburgh Zoo and raised £620 or $1,200 for the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) to support the work of Amphibian Ark.
