Aamir Khan started his film career as a child actor and grew up to become one of the finest and most acclaimed celebrity of Bollywood. Aamir Khan has been tagged as "Mr. Perfectionist" by the Indian media industry owing to his long streak of successful films which have rocked the box office of Bollywood.

Critics have applauded Aamir Khan as an actor, director, producer and at times as a singer in a few of his select movies. His 2001 movie "Lagaan" was nominated for Academy Award in the Best Foreign Language Film" category.

Khan has won several local awards such as "National Award for Best Popular Film", "Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance" and "Filmfare Best Director Award". Aamir not only is a fine actor but also an avid blogger. He writes on his official blog, wherein, he interacts with his fans sharing his views and opinions on various events around the world and, of course, his movies.

Aamir's personal life went through a rough patch when he divorced his ex-wife Reena Dutta in 2002 and married Kiran Rao in 2005.
