The other day I received an email from the editorial board of Transportation Science, asking me to review an article that had been submitted for publication. Transportation Science promotes itself as the foremost journal in the field of transportation analysis, and is published quarterly by INFORMS, so I felt quite honored.

Revising a reviewed manuscript November 14, 2007 by Guru Science woman has some wisdom to impart on the Tao of revisions (for young authors): I know that the review process serves as a necessary screening tool to ensure the quality of published science, and for young investigators and writers like myself, the reviews are tremendous learning experience and chance to greatly improve the paper.
