Adult is a term used to describe a human being who is of a certain level of physical and/or emotional maturity. The official age of what is considered to be an adult will differ from country to country.

The adult film industry is geared towards people meeting the adult age requirement of the country the films are being sold or rented in. Keeping these videos restricted to a certain age can prove difficult this day in age due in part to the Internet and technologies like adult video on demand.


Adult stores allow for better control over age limits, as adult related products are often confined within their doors, as opposed to being available at general stores. They have available for purchase such things as adult blu-ray movies, sexual board games and sex toys.

You'll find bloggers talking about the adult industry at sites like Private Dancer Media and Porn In The Valley.
