Aid: The act of helping one another. It’s what separates man from the animals. It’s the noblest of all human virtues and makes Monuments to Justice and Bastions of Morality out of mere mortals. To aid and help one another has been said to be the finest, most decent thing a person can do in life.

Some people may consider getting and giving aid something that other people do. They may not think it applies to them. However, you never know how nice it is to receive aid until you really, really need it. Then it is the sweetest of all the acts of kindness.

If you are sitting there reading this article, saddled on either side by a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos and a bag of Wavy Lays and feeling bad for yourself, then get up off your behind and go help someone. Whether you are helping a neighbor fix their roof after a storm has knocked a few shingles off their roof, or putting some time into the local charities in your area, it's a good habit to give aid at least once a day.
