Last night, millions of viewers tuned in to the season 7 finale of American Idol. The David versus David finale might have left the viewers and fans divided, but according to Simon Cowell, it was a knock out for David Archuleta. Ninety-five percent of the time, I agree with Cowell.

ETA: I’m still updating this list! ETAA:  Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson were just on Idol Tonight.  They take back the whole “Knock Out” prediction.  They both said, after they watched it on television, the performances were even.  They think they may have even garnered some sympathy votes for Cookie… I’m collecting finale spoilers in this thread.

Let’s re-organize the information we have, shall we? Song Spoilers: Personal song choices have leaked: David Archuleta will reprise “Imagine” per Nigel Lythgoe Thursday on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS morning show. David Cook will sing a new song, U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, per a report on FOX news.

The Season 7 finale is this Wednesday. As usual, TPTB are keeping details of the final cheesefest close to their vests. But there is information leaking out here and there. Here’s what we got so far: David Archuleta and David Cook will perform 3 songs according to reliable spoilers on Idol Forums.

Well, I’m pretty sure American Idol Fans are debating who’s gonna win Season 7. For me it has be David, not Archuleta but Cook. David Cook. Who do you think will win Tuesday’s performance for the Final Three. Let’s take a look…(as I’ve said My Take) ROUND ONE: The songs were picked by the judges themselves.

Here is the performance order for tonight: ETA: Caffiend is back from rehearsal. She said things went well, but that everyone, including Debbie the stage manager seemed very tense. All three seem to be in this to win. Caffiend thought that Syesha Mercado and David Cook sounded a little off-pitch tonight.

OK, it’s time for a bold prediction. There have been some truly gifted competitors in the race this year, but in order to win, a contestant needs a clear identity and consistent performances. David Cook has both. He caught the attention of the judges and the Idol audience with a rocked-out version of “Hello” Top 16 week.

Spoiler watch! There is a new one. David Archulta’s personal choice is a contemporary song–”With You” by Chris Brown. ETA: Three songs One more song to go… I just updated Syesha Mercado’s song choices. The only undetermined song is David Cook’s producer’s choice.

Actually, it’s a moot question at this point. We already know half the songs the Idols are singing–there is only a little room for speculation. Here’s how it works: The Final 3 sing 3 songs apiece. Each Idol is assigned a judge who picks a song. The Idol picks a song and The producers pick a song.
