Animals hold a special place in many of our hearts and bloggers ranging from animal aficionados and wildlife enthusiasts to pet lovers and environmentalists often write about animals and the things they do.

Animals are represented in the blogosphere in many forms. There are the ubiquitous lolcat and animal humor blogs with an emphasis on photo blogging, there are informational blogs about pet care and there are environmentally oriented blogs that bring the animals from their environment to our homes or us into their environment, if you prefer.

If the representation of animals in the blogosphere is any indication, our special relationship with the animals we love is not going to go anywhere any time soon.
