The most common form of anniversary is the wedding anniversary. The couple will have sealed their wedding with the traditional exchange of wedding rings, which may have already incorporated within them almost any precious gemstone. However it is also traditional that the couple celebrating the future yearly anniversary receives gifts from family and close friends. In modern times it is not until a couple is married for 30 years or more that they will receive gifts of gemstones such as the Pearl, Jade, Ruby, Sapphire, Gold Emerald and Diamond and all of these can be given as a gemstone ring on the related wedding anniversary.
