Diamondbacks pick up lefty Ledezma
http://azsportshub.com/ 2008/ 08/ 29/ diamondbacks-pick-up-lefty-ledezma/The Arizona Diamondbacks today acquired Wilfredo Ledezma, a 27-year old left-hander from the San Diego Padres. Ledezma was picked up on a waiver claim from the Padres. Ledezma is now the only lefthander in the Diamondbacks’ bullpen, as Doug Slaten, who has held the role of left-handed relief specialist, is on the disabled list.

Dodgers visit Chase for “crucial” matchup
http://azsportshub.com/ 2008/ 08/ 29/ dodgers-visit-chase-for-crucial-matchup/Alright, forget that nonsense I wrote previously about the National League West race being one of the most intriguing in baseball down the stretch. The entire division has turned even more laughable in the past week, with both the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers bumbling on the baseball diamond.

Well, That Was Unpleasant
http://www.bugsandcranks.com/ arizona-diamondbacks/ andy-lenartz/ well-that-was-…Allow me to jump in my DeLorean for a second and revisit last Sunday. The D-backs had a three game lead in the division over a Dodgers team that had lost three in a row. The D-backs were facing a Padres team, the worst team in the worst division in baseball.

D-Backs blow 4-0 lead, get swept in San Diego
http://azsportshub.com/ 2008/ 08/ 27/ d-backs-blow-4-0-lead-get-swept-in-san-die…The Skinny: The theme is becoming all to familiar. The Diamondbacks’ offense struggles, and the bullpen blows a lead. Well, guess what happened in San Diego on Wednesday? Yep, Randy Johnson pitched 7 strong innings, only to see Chad Qualls allow two runs in the 8th inning, and the Diamondbacks lost again to the San Diego Padres, 5-4.

D-backs blow 4-0 lead and fall to the Padres 5-4
http://www.diamondbackshomeplate.com/ d-backs-blow-4-0-lead-and-fall-to-the-padr…The Arizona Diamondbacks blew a 4-0 lead in the final three innings of the game as they lost to the San Diego Padres 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon. Terrible way to lose a ball game and now they are hoping for a Dodgers loss this evening. Starting pitcher Randy Johnson allowed three runs over seven innings to get a no decision in the game.

Big Unit should already be at 300 wins
http://azsportshub.com/ 2008/ 08/ 27/ big-unit-should-already-be-at-300-wins/You have to start to wonder if Randy Johnson will ever get to 300 wins. He’s not really receiving much support from his teammates lately either. More evidence of that was Wednesday in San Diego, when Johnson left after 7 innings with a 4-3 lead. Chad Qualls came in and gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the eighth, costing Johnson another win.

Don’t forget about the Rockies
http://azsportshub.com/ 2008/ 08/ 27/ dont-forget-about-the-rockies/In the last week, we’ve basically seen the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers basically demonstrate that they don’t really want to win the National League West. The Diamondbacks have lost 4 out of their last 5 to the Marlins and Padres, and the Dodgers, well they have completely forgotten how to win.
