asus

ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated (ASUS)is a Taiwanese computer and electronics manufacturer that produces motherboards, computer systems like PCs and laptops, servers, mobile phones and other products.

Asus is not only producing components for their own products, but also for other manufacturers like Apple, HP or Alienware — which explains why almost 30% of all PC motherboards have been produced by Asus in 2009.

The company was founded by four former Acer employees on 2 April 1990 in Taipei, Taiwan.

The company owns several manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, China, Mexico and the Czech Republic with production capacities of 2 million motherboards and 150,000 notebooks per month.

Asus' revenues reached $21.2 billion USD in 2009.
