Many organizations exist today with the purpose of raising autism awareness. One of these organizations is The Autism Society of America. This organization was founded with the purpose of helping individuals affected by it. Over the years, this organization has grown from just a handful of parents to well over 120,000 supporters and members, nationwide.

I hope you and your family are doing well despite your worries. Please know that even if your child does have autism, you are all going to be okay. The resources for and awareness of autism is general is much greater than it was in the past. You will not be alone. You should not have to make any decisions alone.

So Michael Phelps has just done an amazing thing by breaking a record and winning 8 Gold Medals. Yes, Michael Phelps has ADHD! Do you really think it's just because he has Attention Deficit Disorder that he is at a loss for words? He's in shock and is still trying to process what he's just done! I would even expect the world's best speaker to be at a loss for words after something like this.

Jenny McCarthy, her son Evan, 6, and boyfriend Jim Carrey, were all on set of Jenny's newest comedy flick on Sunday. Jenny sure knows how to rock a bikini - mama looks good! These were taken at the Walk for Autism Awareness here in April. This is the third year our local Autism Society of America has hosted this event, which also includes a 5K run in honor of a boy who died after wandering away from his home in December 2004.
