"To be or not to be, that is the question." Or, at least, that was the question Bill Shakespeare posed to his audiences in his masterpiece play, Hamlet. Nowadays the question is "B2B or B2C?" Or, "Would you rather B2G?" These are the pertinent questions that every business must ask itself.

B2B, or Business-to-Business, is the most basic form of business transaction. One business doing business with another business. This symbiotic relationship between two or more companies for a mutually beneficial outcome constitutes most of the commerce in the world today. Manufacturer to wholesaler or wholesaler to retailer. This is B2B.

B2C, or Business-to-Customer, is what most people think of when they think of business transactions, but what they don't realize is that there are usually many B2Bs before the widget or trinket ever gets to the B2C stage. B2G, or Business-to-Government is a whole different beast as it involves government contracts and doing business directly with a government.

So before you (the consumer) gets too drunk with power thinking that you are the be-all-end-all and that the "Consumer is King," remember that for every B2C transaction there are about ten B2B transactions happening first.
