Wii Fit fanatics will finally get something new to stretch their legs on this Christmas. This grind filled video of Skate It for the Wii shows off how you’ll soon be using the Balance Board to conquer virtual skate parks. The latest trailer shows how the Balance Board and Wiimote are used in combination to physically pull off Ollies and flicks by switching leg positions.

In preparation for the release of the Balance Board-supported Wii Music later on this year, Nintendo is rolling out 'How to' videos on the gesture controls of the game's many instruments. Although it appers only the drum simulator in Wii Music makes use of the Balance Board, it seems a shame to miss out on everything else the game has to offer.

In what we presume is insipration taken from this guy, another Japanese gentleman has fused the powers of the Wii Balance Board and Roomba to demonstrate a unique take on vacuuming. Perhaps it's really going to catch on:

This is an awesome mod, probably the coolest mod after the PS3 laptop! Though this is not the first mod to be seen that involves the Wii Balance Board and Google, a previous similar one used the Wii Board to surf Google Earth, but this one is much more suited for us earthlings.

We've seen a variety of Wii Balance Board hacks over the last few months, but this one has to be the most bizarre yet. One Japanese gentleman has used the Bluetooth capabilities of the Wii Balance Board with this Roomba (a normally-robotic vacuum cleaner) to help perform his household chores.

This has to be one of the most clever uses of the Wii Balance Board that I’ve seen. Why boringly click through the streets of a city, when you can virtually walk on them with your Wii Balance Board.

We've already seen the Wii Balance Board used to surf Google Earth, but we think this fella's usage of Google Street View is even cooler. Using the online tool, one homebrewer has programmed the device so that stepping on the spot sees you walking through the street, while leaning on one foot or the other allows you to spin around on the spot for a view in 360 degrees.
