band

The term band when referring to jewelry is used to describe a ring of some kind. You are more likely to come across the term ‘band’ when someone refers to a wedding ring as a ‘wedding band’. It is used mostly as a slang term for a ring. Wedding bands are a significant part of the marriage ceremony as they are designed and used to signify the everlasting and supposedly unbreakable bond between the bride and groom. Usually made of varying purities of Gold and more recently varying colors of gold such as White Gold, the weddings bands are usually sold as a set male and female, and are usually very expensive. Most wedding and anniversary rings are termed gemstone rings, as they contain seated gemstones such as diamonds, tanzanite and aquamarine.

Due to the subject matter a search for wedding band blogs will inevitably call up sites designed to sell the searcher varying types of bands. Most wedding blog websites offer good information, while directing the user to a source where they may purchase rings.
