    Ahman Green Makes $3.8 Million?

    http://www.nfljuice.com/ 2008/ 08/ 28/ ahman-green-makes-38-million/

Remember Ahman Green?  He used to play for the Green Bay Packers.  Great running back back then.  The Packers traded him to the Texans when he lost all ability, not a day sooner.  Since then, he’s been making a base salary of $3.8 million.  WTF!  So, the Texan Brass decided to rethink “things”.

Salary Ranges - Why Should We?

    http://compforce.typepad.com/ compensation_force/ 2008/ 08/ salary-ranges-.html

Are established salary ranges necessary? Are they desirable? Reader Britney asks about the pros and cons of setting salary ranges. Formal salary ranges aren't mandatory, of course. There is no law requiring that you put them in place. But they do serve a useful purpose, which is why so many organizations have them.
