Looking for an eco-friendly end to your life?  Forget a pine coffin, weave your own final resting place from willows.  UK based Musgrove Willows is offering a course where you weave your own coffin, which doubles as a “blanket box” while you wait to die.  Except for the fact I want to be cremated, I would love to weave my own coffin.  Not sure I want it sitting in my living room though.

It's that time of year again! We always look forward to the end of August, not just because it signals the end of summer here in Central Oregon, but because it also means it's time to go to Sisters, Oregon for the Western and Native American Festival! I bought this book, two goodly bundles of long leaf pine needles and the plastic container it came in for a dollar this weekend at a yard sale! Now to find those three bundles of dyed long leaf pine needles and I'm set to make a basket.
