    If you don’t want to replace the default Windows Notepad with Notepad++ but would like to open any text file with it, you can set the file association at Settings - Preferences - File Association. As already noted in the comments and the article, Notepad++ is good.

    Batch files are great, however, it has no graphical user interface to prompt user for an input. For example, choosing a folder, copy n paste some text as inputs... So.. I decided to try calling an GUI in the batch file to prompt user for inputs... I will use VBScript to call for user's inputs since the script to prompt for input is already written...

    Previously, I wrote a script to rename all files in a folder... The code, however, is longer and complicated, if we want to perform the same task in a folder, including it's subfolders.. ... And for that reason, I decided to switch to Batch file... It is much simpler and easier to use..
