I thought I would share with you some fabric I picked up while I was in Tahoe this past weekend. Here are a nice selection of black/whites with some cool colors: Plus some batik: and I also love this fabric by one of my favorite designers: I just love the layering in the fabric above! I think if I made fabric, I would layer textures and colors like this.

I recently participated in a Fabric Swap and I was so happy to find these fat quarters to send to my swap partner. I loved the summery colors and batik fabrics.  I had a lot of fun picking them out. I mailed the package of last week, so hopefully, my swap partner has received it by now and I’m not spoiling her surprise by posting this picture.

I wake up early at the morning, listening to Puput a 3 years old girl, Mas Agung and Mbak Iin’s daughter prepared in her uniform to go to the kindergarten school in front of the house. She looks so cute in her new uniform. And there is Dita, an 8 months old baby girl, Mas Didik and Mbak Ita’s daughter who really attached with her grandfather.

Sarah forwarded a link to me this morning for a Martha Stewart “Easy Batik” project. I’ve always really loved the look of batik, but have never considered trying it myself - entirely too complicated. But Martha’s project looked very very simple. The only thing I found wrong with it was the fact that it didn’t have the batik “look” that I like.

Anyone else have a hard time coming up with fun blog titles? Once in a while the title is just not obvious!! Too bad there's not a random blog post title generator like there's the random number generators. Anywho...I'm SOOOOO glad it's friday. I love the yummy fall colors of the batik fabric I recently purchased at Joann Fabric’s. Originally, I purchased it for my 2008 beaded journal pages but now I’m thinking of creating journal bracelets instead so I won’t need it for that. The one above on the right reminds me of Brian Froud’s fairy world.

Please please please have a look at this lady's shop. You can just see the amount of time and care and passion that goes into each of her pieces. She is based in Lagos, Nigeria and I am a fan for many obvious reasons.
