BBC Sport is the sports division of the British Broadcasting Company, becoming the official arm of the media conglomerate in 2000.

Many major sporting events are currently shown on BBC Sport, including football (soccer), golf, horse racing, motor sports, the NFL, rugby (both union and league competition), snooker, Summer and Winter Olympics, and tennis. BBC Sport also shows sports that don't regularly get much air time, including badminton, darts, gymnastics, sailing, and squash.

BBC Sport has received some criticism from viewers for losing coverage of cricket,a very popular sport in Europe. The sport could be back on the network by 2013, but no confirmation has been set as of yet.
