Bears are formidable creatures. Most of us would prefer to see our bears within the walls and fences of zoos. However, there are some brave souls who actually hunt bears for the sport.

There are more bear species than most people are familiar with, but the main ones are the Brown Bear, Grizzly Bear (a subspecies of Brown Bear), Black Bear, Panda Bear, and the Polar Bear. Lest you not be aware, the Koala Bear is actually a marsupial (like a Kangaroo).

In case you are offended, let us not forget to mention the cute and cuddly Teddy Bear, named after President Theodore Roosevelt. Bloggers speaking about bears can be found at sites like Bear Boosters and vermontteddybear.
