Bebo is a unique social networking site offering its members a wide range of features that integrate several services into one platform. Bebo, an acronym for “Blog early, blog often,” was founded in 2005 and later bought by AOL in 2008. Social networking applications like Bebo are a way for citizens of the blogosphere to carry on conversations about anything from the obscure to the wildly popular in a virtual world.

One really cool feature on Bebo is the “Video Box” which can showcase favorite music videos, YouTubes, or even instructional videos offering poker lessons to your friends online. There really are no limitations to the style and pizzazz that can be added to a profile on Bebo. Bebo also integrates with instant messaging and a mobile platform offering text alerts and photo uploads.

Bebo's rapid success was partly due to their style and out of the box thinking to put exciting features on their site like “Bebo Music” which allows a band or solo artist the ability to create a profile and showcase their music. Songs can be played through the Bebo playlist offering a new way for bands to use the power of social networking to gain popularity and exposure across the internet.
