"B & B," or "bed and breakfast" is also often called "b and b" depending on where in the world you are.

Bed and Breakfast is a type of accommodation that differs from the hotel business but compliments it very well. Not everyone wants to book into a hotel for their travel, tourism or vacation requirements.

What you get is your bed for the night and breakfast in the morning. B & B's usually provide good personal service, often beautiful locations or premises that they trade from, and the type of breakfast they dish up.

There is a good bed and breakfast blog where discussion of the trade takes place.
People can find their ideal location using tools like Trip Advisor where they will be shown all the B & B's in the area they want to travel to plus reviews of the listings there. In addition there are some independent websites that are easy enough to find. For instance, the search phrase bed and breakfast in Portugal will return some nice websites owned by the B & B proprietors in addition to the numerous commercial websites that many owners advertise on.
