There were a couple of interesting side notes from my workday yesterday at the shop -  Two groups of wildland firefighters came in, on their way up to the Cascade Wildland Fire, 6 miles west of Red Lodge.  The fire, as reported by InciWeb at 0500 this morning, is at 5,936 acres and 5% containment. 

The Lamar River has been fishing well this past week; and there are lots of elbows over in the Northeast corner of the Park already.  The Lamar is still high, but is beginning to clear, and a few hardcores have made their way to the Lamar and are doing quite well walking the banks fishing big crickets

Our intent is to focus the content of our blog here are Best Fly Fishing Yellowstone on fishing and the more lighthearted side of life, and we strive to do so.  Now and then we come across things that are incredibly meaningful in a “real life sense” and here’s one of those that you shouldn’t miss.
