    Last week I was sent an email from Austin Bike Blog reader Joseph, about new bicycle lanes from 38th to 45th on Medical Parkway. I walked this stretch of Medical Parkway on Wednesday, and took a few photos of this new bicycle route, along with sending an inquiry in to the city about them.

    Nice parking spots. This weekend, I was walking around south congress while waiting for my bicycle to be worked on at Tsumani Cycles (hi guys!) when I walked by some of the side streets and saw this wonderful bicycle lane. Wonderfully bad, that is. First, this is a neighborhood street, that doesn’t have very much traffic on it, even in rush hour.

    We filled you in recently on the North Bayshore Drive Bicycle lanes - from what we have heard, the city is working to adapt this project to include the lanes.  No official word yet, but we will keep you posted as we hear more.
