Bieber is the last name of Justin Bieber, who is a 17 year old Canadian R&B and pop musician. Bieber has attained worldwide fame after being discovered and promoted by American talent manager Scooter Braun. In 2008, Bieber was offered a record deal with Raymond Braun Media Group, a joint venture between Braun and Usher. By 2009, the young musician had released his debut single, "One Time", which quickly entered the top ten charts in Canada, as well as the top thirty charts in many other countries.

Bieber's first EP, "My World" came out in late 2009 and went on to become a certified platinum in the United States. Moreover, seven of the songs from his debut release entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first full length studio album, entitled My World 2.0, was released in March 2010 to worldwide acclaim. The album became a certified platinum and debuted at number one in several countries. Bieber's most famous song to date, Baby, charted in the top ten hits list in Canada, the US, Norway, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, Slovakia, Australia, Japan and Belgium. "Baby" also received positive reviews from critics, who praised the song's catchy lyrics and chorus.

Aside from his musical ventures, Bieber was also briefly featured in the CBS police drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in early 2011, where his character appeared for 2 episodes. In February 2011, he released a 3-D music documentary entitled Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which topped the box office chart, earning $30.3 million on its opening weekend. The musician is also ranked among the highest paid celebrities under the age of 30 by Forbes magazine, having earned $53 million during a single year of activity. In 2011, rumors that Justin Bieber was romantically involved with fellow singer and actress Selena Gomez began to emerge in entertainment news. Pictures of Justin Bieber together with Selena Gomez were soon posted in celebrity gossip blogs, and, in March 2011, Justin confirmed that he was dating the young actress.

In mid 2010, Bieber announced that he began working on his second full length album, which is due for release in late 2011. On account of his puberty, Bieber stated that he is no longer able to hit the same high notes he used in his debut album, which was recorded when the singer was 15, and his upcoming songs will likely be sung in a lower key.
