brüno
Bruno is one of the many alter-egos of Borat creator Sacha Baron Cohen, and the subject of Cohen's second straight hit comedy film (following 2006's Borat). Bruno (the movie) was released in the summer of 2009.
In the film, Bruno is an over-the-top Austrian gay fashionista who comes to the United States with the sole intention of becoming famous. As with Borat, the film uses a series of real-life ambush interviews to create situations that are often as uncomfortable to watch as they are hilarious. In addition to everyday people, Bruno's victims include everyone from former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul to what the film presents as an actual suspected terrorist.
Prior to it's release, Bruno had already generated controversy when a scene with Latoya Jackson had to be cut out of respect to the Jackson family following the death of Michael. More recently, a less raunchy version of the film was recut in order for British teenaged fans to be able to see it. In its original version, Bruno includes both full frontal nudity and simulated sex scenes which have been described as both hilarious and "difficult to watch" by some viewers.

He Had a Good Hit Didn’t the song “Bad Day” feel like a one-hit wonder (OHW) even when it was first popular on the radio? Couldn’t you feel it, as I, who am psychic, did? I remember seeing Daniel Powter on GMA at the time the song came out, in 2006, and thinking right then and there that something wasn’t ...2 weeks ago -

Just saw Brüno for the fist time. A bit late, I know. I think I agree with the people who said that it wasn’t as good as Borat, but only because it lacked the originality that Borat had. It was ‘shocking’, but Brüno as a character is just silly and there’s realy little to sympathise with. Borat, at least, ...5 weeks ago
