I can’t believe it’s October already!  It’s the end of my first week working at home now that I’m with New Edge Media and I still don’t have a FULL week of working from home under my belt since I attended the Social Media: The Marketing Summit on Wednesday and Thursday.

I saw this headline today at MediaPost: “Report: Affiliate Marketers Use Adware Deceptively.”Great, yet another headline that paint the entire industrywith a broad brush. Anyone not part of this industry will see the headline and confirm their misguided notions that Affiliate Marketers are scum who will whatever it takes to take money from the merchants.

I’m down here in lovely Santa Barbara for Commission Junction University, and day one is in the can.  The weather has been nice…although living in California I’m generally used to this weather, but being in the Southern end of the state there’s a distinctly different feel that I can’t quite put my finger on.  But I enjoy it.

Well, I think many people attending this session were expecting the topic to be heated, but l’m not sure they were expecting some of the venom that seemed to be in the room.  Speaking for myself, I certainly didn’t.  Originally there was only supposed to be one panelist fielding questions, but since
