Breast augmentation refers to any procedure that is meant to enlarge or reshape the breasts. While most augmentations involve the insertion of silicone implants under the chest muscle or under the breast, there are several non surgical enlargement methods as well.

Autologous fat grafting is use to transfer fat tissue from an area of the body to the breast. This procedure is mainly used to correct breast deformities, but will also be used for the improvement of tissue coverage over breast implants. Some women, however, prefer using breast enhancement pills and natural products since they are non-invasive and considered less risky.

Due to the sensitive nature of breast tissue, all invasive breast enlargement procedures carry the risk of complications. Some creams, ointments and herbal teas are also believed to stimulate breast growth, although these products may not work for any woman. Physical exercise and an adequate diet can help tone the muscles and visually enlarge the breasts.
