buses
Buses can be used for a variety of different things. School buses are easily recognized, their big yellow shape reminding everyone of school days and crisp fall mornings. What better way is there to round up children and take them to school? Other buses, such as Greyhound or Bolt, take passengers to exciting destinations, such as New York City or Washington DC. These luxury buses, with comfortable seating and even Wi-Fi, make an otherwise uncomfortable trip a chance to relax, perhaps read the newspaper or catch a few minutes of sleep. City buses give those living in metropolitan areas mobility without having to own a car or catch a subway. And for those who want to take a big group for a out on the town but don’t want to pay for a limousine rental, there’s always a party bus—some of them have couches, lights, TVs, speakers, and are quite literally a party in a bus!
A few blogs online dedicated to buses are available, where members share photographs and information on school buses. “Bus Chick” chronicles a Seattle-area woman who has chosen to live without a car and takes a bus everywhere she goes. It is both interesting and informative.
