Business cards have long been an established tool for connecting with others, getting sales leads, sharing information and of course networking. The small, wallet-size piece of paper has been around for hundreds of years and even in the digital age shows no sign of disappearing.

The powers of technology created two unique avenues that allow business cards to thrive in the digital age. Business cards have morph into digital business cards as part of our overall online persona as much a part of us as our social networking profile. Technology and the birth of the consultant armies has also led to the idea of business cards moving beyond the company man’s communication tool to a personalized business tool. Online companies have created entire business models to serve these custom business cards to the small niche communities and markets.

It is safe to say that even in a digital world, business cards are still one of the most used and must-have business communication devices.
