Some car accessories are useful, but the majority of them are just for fun. Pure enjoyment. For example, what does underglow add to your car besides make it look like a UFO as it is going down the interstate? What do spinning rims do for your MPG? What does a LoJack do except make your car look like it is riding really, really low to the ground?

Car accessories can be funny, too. One Jeep driving down the interstate had a huge plastic "snorkel" attached to the side of it with the words "Safari Snorkel" painted on it. Another car had half a baseball stuck into the side window, with an outer sticker making it look like the ball had crashed into the window. There are seat covers that are decorated to look like an ejection seat. One car owner even went so far as to attach some balloons (that looked like missiles) to the back of his truck so as he drove down the freeway it looked like several heat-seeking missiles were following him down the road!
