cardiovascular disease

Tag details

Cardiovascular disease is any disease that has to do with the heart or blood vessels. These types of diseases are the #1 killer in the United States and most of Europe, as well. They even outrank cancer for deaths and disabilities among humans.

Everything from heart disease to high blood pressure to clogged arteries and veins all fall into the "Cardiovascular Disease" category. And since it's true that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, let's take a look at three ways you can avoid cardiovascular disease in your own life:

First is eating right. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and stay away from those fried pickles.

Second, exercise daily. Treadmill, sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, etc. all help fight the battle against heart and blood vessel diseases.

Finally, lay off the cigars and the cigarettes. Smoking will kill your heart and blood vessels quicker than even the fried pickles will.
