There are many, many types of carpets. Don't ever say a carpet is "just" a carpet. Nothing is ever "just" anything! There are different types and makes of carpet:

1) There is the traditional Magic Carpet that Aladdin flew through the sky on (with his sweetheart). However, this type of carpet is a little more difficult to come by.

2) There is the "Red Carpet" that usually signifies a lot of celebrities (with anonymous hunks of arm candy) and awards shows. This carpet is more common than the Magic Carpet, but still pretty rare.

3) Finally, there is the carpet we use to carpet our homes. This carpet comes in shag, double-stitch, tight-twist, etc. This type of carpet is much more common than the previously mentioned carpets.

Whatever type of carpet you get, it needs to be cleaned. And until Sears creates a vacuum you can ride on, carpet cleaning must be done with a vacuum or with a carpet cleaning apparatus.

So before you purchase a Magic Carpet, Red Carpet, or just a regular household carpet, make sure you know how to clean it correctly. Bloggers speaking about carpet can be found at sites like carpet-and-rug-institute-blog and customcarpetblog.
