charities
Charities are institutions that are created to give aid to those that need it. Charities is truly the watchword when it comes to putting your money or time somewhere where it will bring a true sense of service, goodwill, love.
Christian theology in the Bible teaches that charity, or love (agape), means an unlimited loving-kindness toward all others. Jesus warned his disciples against love for money and trust in riches, telling them not to trust in treasures on Earth that deteriorate. Charities would flourish if a majority of the people of the world followed this simple teaching and gave more of what they had to the hungry and poor.
Cutting back on a few simple luxuries can feed and clothe the needy in the war torn Middle East, while bringing hope through the Johsua Fund. Charities not only help feed and take care of the needy, they can also be devoted to giving women hope by raising breast cancer awareness and searching for a cure.
If you don't have extra money to give you can always donate your time. Learn how to run your own events for charities with ideas from bloggers at the Charities Blog and Intelligent Giving.
