Returned From Chartres
http://ceremoniere.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ returned-from-chartres/I just got back from the Paris to Chartres pilgrimage on Tuesday evening, complete with French Royalist propaganda and sore feet. The sun shone down on us mercilessly throughout the pilgrimage, I got away with some minor sunburns on my arms.

Spending time with Mary
http://jonmsweeney.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ spending-time-with-mary/One of the most special moments of my recent trip to see churches in France, was contemplating the Virgin Mary in Chartres Cathedral. Two years ago, I wrote a book about Mary. Chartres and Notre-Dame
http://jonmsweeney.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 10/ chartres-and-notre-dame/During my pilgrimage just ended, there was one day–a Friday–when I attended early morning Mass at Chartres Cathedral and then later in the day, toured the great Notre-Dame in Paris. It’s my first time on this particular pilgrimage route and I can only hope that what practice I did and my experience of the Camino de Santiago will keep my feet from giving up, city life does make one rather comfortable.
